About this event

Looking to get involved in local community organizations? Want to meet other dope people who care about the same issues you care about?

Come out to Home Rule: DC Community Organizing Fair to meet a bunch of local organizations, get involved, and learn more about organizing! We'll have free food, kid-friendly activities, workshops, and more!

What's Home Rule? In 1973, The District of Columbia Home Rule Act gave DC residents and voters control over more of their city's affairs—things that used to be run by the federal government. Home Rule means we govern ourselves.

Come out and meet with some amazing organizations. Here's who's confirmed so far:

ACLU-DC • DC VOTE • FAIR BUDGET COALITION • REPROACTION • BLACK SWAN ACADEMY • HIPS • WASHINGTON AREA BIKE ASSOCIATION • CLAUDIA JONES SCHOOL FOR POLITICAL EDUCATION • SAMARITAN MINISTRIES - STRIVE DC • MANY LANGUAGES, ONE VOICE • PEOPLE FOR FAIRNESS COALITION • BROOKLAND MANOR • CHI BORN FREE • APALA DC

This event is hosted by Rising Organizers and the DC Punk Archives, with funding support from the Beckner Advancement Fund of All Souls Church, Unitarian.
